The Darfur Stoves Project – under our parent organization, Technology Innovation for Sustainable Societies (TISS) – is in the process of applying for nonprofit 501(c)(3) status. Until the process is complete, all donations to Darfur Stoves Project and TISS are managed by our fiscal sponsor, FJC – A Foundation of Philanthropic Funds.

Donations processed through FJC’s PayPal online store are solely allocated to TISS/The Darfur Stoves Project as long as you designate “TISS/Darfur Stoves Project” in the donation form.

Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For donations exceeding $250, you will receive a tax receipt from FJC in the mail. For donations of $250 dollars or less, you may use a cancelled check as proof of your donation.

* A gift in this amount is an example of what the Darfur Stoves Project uses funding for to improve the lives of women in Darfur. To help deliver the most effective program to the greatest number of people, your donation will be combined with other funds and used as it is most needed, not necessarily to purchase or distribute an actual stove.
